Spanning contemporary textiles, print and digital pattern design, her art practice is informed by Shibori dye craft and sculptural forms. Kate's bold and colourful digital pattern designs combine hand drawn, painted and photographic artwork, taking inspiration from both human-made and natural environments. She makes use of real and stylised plants and flowers, and her photographs to experiment with and develop her pattern designs. They combine the things she loves; colour, drawing and pattern.
