Shibori hand-dyed silk art work (2025)

An original piece, Kate hand-dyes in her studio using clamped and stitch resist Shibori techniques to colour and manipulate silk organza. Pieces are then carefully arranged and hand-stitched on to canvas and mounted on a wooden frame. 

Materials; Silk Organza, hot water dyes, cotton canvas, silk thread.
